Today is mother’s day, some times I really wonder the messages on facebook, SMSes, mails mentioning mother’s day are so high in number, do people really mean it or its just momentary ?
& we reply to those messages, like them and certainly agree with every line friends post.
How many of us have called our mother today in the morning & said “you are special”
Some people are lucky, they are together with their mother today in the same house while people like us who are out stationed are busy in our own schedules.
Just go back to your childhood, just visualize, your mother running after you with something in her hand running behind you to eat something?, giving you milk when you are back from school.
It was august 1990 when my Mom got a job, everybody was very happy, We all 3 kids were also happy not even knowing why we were excited ( I was then 8 yrs old, Vipul was 6 yrs old and Shelly was just crawling with 3 yrs under her belt)
Slowly things started changing, Mom cooking the food early in the morning at 5 am, putting the same in hot case, all house was empty at 8 am with all three of us in school and Papa by dropping all of us on his Bajaj Chetak and Mummy to school.
On returning, we generally found no body at home at around 2.30 pm, then taking food from hot case & eating without taste.
But financial condition was good, we were told to spend cautiously, value system was installed as it was hard earned money with lot of sweat and time that could have been given to us in the absence of school.
Mother’s are made to give, just sincerely look into her eyes & ask yourself, does she really need your money? Does she not happy with your accomplishments? Does she really interfere?
Yes, ways have changed and our thinking has changed, we really get panicky on being questioned a little extra. did you not ask same questions many times when you were kid and she responded the same no of times?
We generally think they don’t understand how much effort you have made in understanding them? Yes they live in small town and their thinking is limited to the area but you have come from that town only and it’s because of their sacrifices you are enjoying the uninterrupted life in Metros.
Parents have started getting intimidated from their own children
Wo kya sochega? Jaane do mat kaho use
Kahin bura na maan jaaye?
Kya zaroorat hai?
Friends, They really filter their feelings while speaking to us, they say those words only which only please us, sometime from your routine talks at home, just ask your mother , aur mummy aap khush ho na? Repeatedly saying this thing will really open her up and she will talk to her kid & confide.
At our age, Mother needs us more than we do; we really occupy ourselves with friends, movies, office and what about her? Her own friend for life is you!
Increase the frequency of calling in the day from just once at night of twice daily, this will make mom feel happy.
Always speak to your mom when you are lost, she will bail you out completely somehow or the other, god has given the powers to her, be it any emotional trap you are in.
You will always be kid to her, always, no matter how much you earn!
Just for a second imagine, people who have lost heir mom, what they are missing in life.
She doesn’t want anything from us, just our time which we have a lot for rest of the world, some daily conversations and care and affection.
