Power of Touch

Power of Touch & this is the only part which was missing in her life, I mean Kiran’s life, she had boyfriend Rakesh but in another city, phone calls, SMS were all there but yes the number was decreasing day by day.

Then Akash entered her life as a friend, a good friend, lover and now husband. He played the game beautifully, just putting hand over her shoulder & saying, don’t worry I am there. Hugging when it mattered the most, soft slaps on her cheeks had become part of daily life,

she had started living her life with fresh air & her earlier boyfriend Rakesh was no where part of her life now.

By the way, Akash had also one beautiful girlfriend named Avani but again in another city, when she heard about Akash & his new venture, She really cried hard in front of me ( I was just a common friend between Akash and Avani) A Touch had changed Kiran” life, she was in need of that. Somebody who could pull her hair when she did any mistake, somebody to apply cream when her foot was hurt, somebody’s shoulders on which she can put her head in the night & close her eyes.

Everybody needs that touch, that love. A friend who can understand without uttering any word, by just looking into your eyes and saying I love holding hand together while walking in the night meaning I am there for you. In college I had one question & that was Why girls do so much of drama, kiddishness in front of guys, mujhe ye chahiye,…pls no….. you, movie chalen…..tell no……coffee at my place? & why it cant be I want this or lets go for movie , why this “no”. I was then enlightened by my friend Shweta, Girls do this so as they can get your attention, Pampering & I was satisfied with that answer to move on in my life.

when somebody is happy, Just put your shoulder around his neck & say I am happy for you,the entire life he will feel the same touch whenever he meets you. When somebody is feeling lonely ( & I am also including the scenes when you are surrounded by people & yet searching for someone) ,Just hold his hand & say Don’t worry,Main hoon na , chal lets go for small trip……oh boy, you know by holding the hand you have completed his life at that moment.

When someone is sad, look into his eyes and don’t say anything, just hear him out completely, & just be there.( beware don’t use the old lines, ye sabke saath hota hai, mere saath bhi hua & don’t start your own story) When somebody is crying, hug him hard, There is no harm in submission

Yes, we have to fight our battles by own self, Yes, We have different environments to cope with, Yes, we have different people to deal with. But yes, when you give that TOUCH to somebody, you have really arrived in his life, In a scenario where everybody is running a race, your touch will make people smile & you will get touch someday too!!

A relaxed Sunday morning, need to go to honor some touches (ooh la la!)

Love you all

We,Punjabi's

A relaxed Sunday evening, I am sitting at the same place, on a mattress in the hall with air crossing from the window, Love this time as it doesn’t allow the feeling of monday sinking in as it keeps me occupied with something i love, WRITING.

Last Time, sitting here, I mentioned in my last blog about few people in my life who have been a lifeline, no matter, how less we interact, meet but the only their existence makes me feel great.

Just went to my hometown to attend my cousin’s marriage in Punjab, a colorful, loud place where everybody has his/her own world & they want everybody to address their way, I have been born and brought up there ( with 3 yrs stint in Srinagar, kasmir!!) & have something to share about WE, PUNJABIS.

1. Punjabi’s are very loud, when they talk, no need of loudspeakers, we don’t need man made machines, our voices are enough even if we are not addressing a crowd, we speak in high tone.

2. Punjabi’s are very very emotional, though they try to cover up by high notes in voice and show they are not affected by any emotion, they are.

3. You dare not paying attention to them, they will hit you again and again and make sure they finish whatever intellectual they were saying and still they tell you “Samajh Gaya na”

4. A friend for life, you can blindly trust them, God has not given them thinking capabilities beyond a point so they will never harm if you are friend.

5.We only need parathas for lifetime just three times a day,Morning,Afternoon and Night & in between we can be served anything.

6. We are very uncomfortable eating Chinese food; Punjab has not given noodles the status of food.

7. When we are in love, we give and give and only give. We love so much that sometimes it becomes really mandatory for other person to literally ask for distance.

8. Punjabi’s are often found hurt either by someone’s comments or for not given the proper food at friend’s place.

9.If you are in trouble, tell a Punjabi, they will kill it to the core so bad that the concept of recarnation need to be abolished, but there is one problem, you need to tell them you are in problem.

10.Very expressive, all gussa and pyar you can see on their face clearly.

11. Some of the generally used lines by Punjabis.

Yaar Tu tension na le ( they repeat so many times that the other person really thinks that am I in tension)

Tu mera bhra hai & they hug you (they have so many brothers and sisters around the world!!)

Tu Ruk,Main btata hun( and you wait for your turn till they decide to go for sleep)

12. They have spontaneous raw sense of humor which you will love.

13. You are in the safest arms when they hug you.

14. Generally, They feel suffocated when they are put in intellectual discussions, so inspite of not knowing what the topic is, they make sure they are only heard.

15. We have our own world, either enter and adjust or else you will be kicked way.

16.You make food for them, they will love you forever for anything.

17. Punjabi’s don’t have high urge to earn money, all they need in life is big house, great clothes, a big car to flaunt in the town, same type of food, a beautiful wife/a gabru husband and we will happily die.

18. Punjabis know only two words Yes and No, the in between words to be handled by rest of the world.

19. Generally you will be found on receiving end, all the love and care or the heat, its upto your capabilities what you attract.

20. Very high on family values, You treat their family well, They will forget their own son/daughter and give you the importance which you have not imagined in your life.

I think, its enough now, there is enough in Punjabi’s to fall for.

People with extreme love

We, Punjabi’s.

Some important people in my life

Some important people in my life

I loved one friend’s status on facebook that “The more we are connecting electronically, the less we are becoming emotionally bonded.

The good thing facebook is doing that people are really expressing themselves on this platform as if they have got one close friend to share(Facebook has been kind of emotional support to many).

Coming back to real world from online world, we all share some special bonds with some people who have played/are playing a good role in our life..From childhood to wherever you are now, some people have been with you somehow & yes they are responsible for what you are today.

I also have few people who I just thought of mentioning today who have contributed directly or indirectly, helped me in thick and thin, making me what i am today and this is not a farewell speech but I just want to acknowledge & thank them, As I have learnt that everybody loves to read/know about themselves, just thought to write about few people, few important people in my life.
(Before you read in detail, the names are Lovely, Tejinder Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Manoj Shah, Amrisha and Abhishek, Swati, Mamta and Endee)

1. Lovely

It was the class 6th to 8th, this guy was not my friend but a threat. His roll number was next to me & I always ran away from him, I didnt know why I was so scared of him, I used to complete his assignments daily. My mom saw the growing tension on my face & one day I told her that this guy got all his assignments done by me regularly, Mom went to that guy’s house & blasted him in front of his mother. From then I was a free bird,

From him,I learnt the meaning of the word POWER.

2. Tejinder Singh

He was with me in my engineering days, He was a go getter, fearless, His home was just 30 km from my hometown, and we used to travel together on weekends. He would never stop, he was a solution provider. He was my best friend, whenever there used to be something wrong, I always used to go to him & he would leave everything to help me & take me out of the trouble. There I learnt friendship.

3. Neeraj Sharma

Oh God, I loved the energy he had, So much of positivism, so much exploration he had done, we are together for over 20 years now & the special bond I share with this guy is magical, We were friends earlier and somehow we were not in talking terms for years.Suddenly one fine day on some festival he came home , we sorted everything & then  this magical friendship resumed.

He went to Mumbai first & I used to see Mumbai from his eyes, the power this city had, Mumbai soon became a destination where I wanted to go. The great quality this guy has is the sense of humor & the timing, spontaneity which I have always enjoyed, also his sense of understanding of situations is great, what I have learnt from him is that exploring the world/people, care, unconditional love & sense of practicality of situations.

4. Manoj Shah

He was my senior in MBA college, my guide &  my mentor.Wherever I got stuck, he was there, The greatest quality I learnt from him to LISTEN, he is a great listener,he would hear you out completely & then give his opinion what he feels, not enforcing. He had a major impact in my MBA life in terms of how I used to think about people. A very special bond I share with him, very special, now also whenever there is something I need to talk about, He is the first person that comes to my mind.

Oh! fantastic sense of wittiness I learnt from him,Yes,Positive approach to life, On his scooty I used to roam around in Pune till I got bike.

5.Amrisha Srivastva and Abhishek Acharya

These are the people from whom I learnt new dimension of friendship, they brought a real change in me what I use to think about friendship, Care, Love that I got from them was great. Had I not met them, I would not have known what that dimension of friendship they taught me..Amrisha is a fighter & every time I hear line from Movie jab we met “ Main apni favorite hun” she comes to my mind,

She really used to love herself, a lot, and with abhishek I share a eternal connction as he is the only one to catch my filmy chemistry in the whole world, he used to display the same energy in acting or dialogues which anybody till now has not been able to.

6. Swati Bajpai

She is a wonderful soul i have met,  great respect as a person she commands from me, We met in our MBA college and rest is a history.

The more I know about her, the more excited I am. She taught me to live in present, very clear in her thoughts, her sense of understanding, the logicalisation she does, when we were in college, she was a partner not a demanding girlfriend, a down to earth human being. a fantastic sense of humor,a good singer & a good friend & above all the cuteness oh gosh is amazing. We fought a lot but one good thing was we knew that we had divine connection.

7. Mamta Ranasaria

A energy powerhouse, A philosopher, this human being is so pure with whatever she does. Purity is her strength. I met her in last leg of 2007, fascinated by her actions which she wanted all the time. I hadn’t met this kinds of powerhouses before, Passion, self pampering, exploration is the key this person has,

I saw myself evolving the more I interacted with her, one great thing I learnt and saw with her ( which I call page 3 world) were the parties, a new dimension, a new set of people in the various places in Mumbai. She broadened my horizon day by day & I was learning. Her spontaneity, sense of rationalism, emotions are one above normal people. I share a special bond with this lady and it’s beyond transactions. I have great respect for her for the way she is.PURE.

8. Endee Rampal

Came year 2014, I was doing some research about Lavasa online and i saw her photographs on FB staying in Lavasa. She was with me in my Welspun days and i didnt hesitate to ask her about Lavasa. .Whatever feedback she gave, i went to Lavasa and a new tale began.

She is a wonderful girl i have ever met till now, so warm and so pure just like mountain water. I met her in last few months in delhi and whenever i interact with her, i feel so much of connect. What i learnt from her is unconditional care and love without any layers. Further i like her elegant dressing sense and the way she carries herself. We create special moments between us and will cherish them forever.

There are many more who have influenced me in my life till now but above mentioned have added a new dimension in my life, I love them beyond boundaries.

Thanks for making me what I am today
Lots of love, hugs
